Sorry the chords are all in there like that. But I hope this helps. Good luck | Why does my singing suck when singing as group and rulez when solo? when ever i sing alone,it is great but with other people singing as one,i will be out of tune...im 13 and a half and it is really irritating that i need to force alot to make my voice blend with people....... | Maybe your just not cut out to sing in a group.
I recommend going solo. | Who thinks Chris Cornell's solo works suck Chris Cornell use to be in Soundgarden, and then he was in Audioslave, both of which are great bands, but hes gone solo and i think he totally blows, what do you think? | Agree buddy. Not feeling it at all....he needs better musicians to go along with his lyrics/vocals.
Let's not forget about Temple of the Dog, either. I've always thought he would sound amazing with Pearl Jam minus Eddie Vedder.
Edit: Yeah, not impressed by Audioslave at all. And, I think the poster below me is spot on with a Soundgarden reunion. | Why do so many LEGENDARY singers suck so hard when they go Solo (like Rob Halford)? Mind you, far from the only one.... Chris Cornell's solo stuff has been BAD (as have many other musicians like James Iha). But in Rob's case.. wow.
Heavy Metal GOD was his nickname. I dunno, maybe he was bored in Priest, maybe it was ego, but everything pretty much non-Priest he has done has SUCKED horribly. I'm glad his absence gave my boy Ripper a chance to get known, but really, the why still confounds me. As does how he could actually turn out such garbage.
*sighs*
Oh well..rant over.. your thoughts? | Nobody to keep them in check.
They don't always suck -- Elvis Costello has spent half his career alienating and then reuniting with his bandmates, without a loss in quality that could be placed in one category or another (his weak albums tend to be overreaching, not solely a sans-bandmates problem) -- but I think that there is something to be said for the tension between a dynamic frontman or frontwoman and the cooler personalities of the backing band.
It's like Nero (the Roman emperor), who insisted on controlling all elements of the plays which he went to see, and eventually wanted to star in those plays: Although history records that he wasn't a terrible actor, it also records that the plays themselves were awful, because nobody could say, "Hey, Nero, maybe you should take it down a notch." Absolute power corrupts absolutely -- so goes music, too. | What is the easiest guitar solo on rock band 2? I want to get the achievment for 100% on an expert solo but need to know an easy one because i suck :P. Any other tips on achievments will not go a miss. | In my personal opinion,
either Kids in America or Wave Of Mutilation :D
xoxo | I just had my first solo piano performance and it sucked? made mistakes on every single piece. i didn't feel very nervous but dunno why did stuff like playing a part that didn't go there, forgot some chords. actually the hardest ones wasn't too bad. I think that's because on the easy ones my head is usually somewhere else. So does that mean I suck as I pianist, I mean I made mistakes on every single piece. | If it was your first performance, don't worry. You'll get better. That's why you do recitals, so you can get some experience in playing in front of people. It's much different from playing by yourself.
If you go to many concerts you see that -everyone- makes mistakes. They learn to go on like nothing happened, and usually nobody realizes it but themselves, or someone who knows the piece really well. We are so used to listening to CDs that are the same every time we play them, that we don't realize live performances all contain errors.
Normally, when you perform in front of an audience it helps to keep from being nervous by knowing the material inside and out, being thoroughly practiced and rehearsed. But this is more true of giving a speech or acting in a play than it is for performing music. I think it's possible to be -too- well rehearsed with music. The other thing that helps with 'stage fright' is just doing it, and every time you get a little more comfortable, a little less nervous.
So don't get upset and dwell on how sucky you were. Just forget it. You'll be better next time. | What if I'm good at writing songs, but suck at singing? I like to write songs, and from what my family and most honest friends say I'm good. I suck at singing unless I'm locked in my room. (My sis over heard me once and when I sang it face 2 face she said I suck when I'm around someone.) So, should I start a band, go solo, or stick to stories and other hobbies and give up music? | No Way! Don't give up music, it obviously comes naturally to you, even if singing doesn't.
There are many extremely successful songwriters that can't sing- so i say keep it up and work your songwriting talent to it's very fullest :)
Good Luck.x | How to tell my mom i didn't get a solo? I auditioned for a solo in my choir consert and i know i'm not the best singer. My mom figured out and i tried to tell her that i might not get it but she was so excited. I did not get the solo and i'm not realy sad becasue i know i suck at sinigning but i'm a realy great actress. How do i tell my mom? | | No biggie just tell her your not going to give up, that is if you plan on working at your goal. Things don't come so easy sometimes you gotta work at it. Tell her you maybe you need vocal lessons, it doesn't mean you should give up just because you didn't make one audition. | Does anyone have a good guitar solo I can use? Hi, I play guitar and started writing a song about 2 weeks ago, so far its going pretty well but I need a good solo, unfortunately I suck at writing solos, so if someone has a good solo, preferably not sweep picking or trademarked(Id prefer not getting sued,If you know what I mean). ♥♦♣♠ | | just improvise in whatever key your song is in or do some modes and interlock some scales in the same key. If you don't know any music theory just tell me what chords or notes you use in your song and I'll tell you what key to solo in. |
